Overview

REMEMBER THE YAHOO! GAMES WORD GAME CALLED WORD RACER? It was basically multi-player Boggle, with some added features. Play either solo or with friends, the goal is to type as many words as possible to get the highest score by the end of 4 rounds. I've attempted to simulate the gameplay and rules of the original Yahoo! game as closely as possible. I made this game because I loved it when I was a kid.

NOTE: Best played on a computer or laptop. Not yet mobile-friendly.

Check out the Updates section for improvements I'm making to the game. I plan to add things like high scores, competitive mode where words can only be submitted once in a game, UI improvements, and more.

Recent changes: Mar 2026

• Added ability to review found words after rounds end
• Added an overlay for how to play and found words
• Added bonus points for words with 7 or more letters, true to the original Word Racer scoring

• A lot of behind-the-scenes tests and cleanups to make it easier and safer to build new features.
• New UI for the menu/front page; will work on game interface next
• Added sound effects
• Clean up the UI and make the timer more readable
• Launched the game with solo practice & multiplayer functionality
• Wrote a how-to guide, put up subscribe, feedback and donation forms
